Admissions

Starting Our Academy

The academy admissions policy follows the Lincolnshire County Council’s Co-ordinated Admissions Process.  Parents who wish for their child to start our school in the Foundation Stage in 2015 will need to pick up an admissions pack from the office during the autumn term 2014. This includes all the relevant information that they need to apply for a place at our school and the date by which the application has to be made by. The Local Authority encourages applications to be made on-line. At Utterby Primary Academy children can start the September after their 4th birthday.

Early during the final term in the summer there will be a ‘new intake’ meeting for parents of new pupils, to come and view the school and meet their child's teacher. Also, arrangements are made for the new starters to spend some time in their new classes. The aim is to ensure that a child’s start to their school life at Utterby is as enjoyable and as settled as possible.

Should parents wish for their child to join the school from Y1 – Y6 or Reception mid-year, they should contact the school for an admissions form. The school will then contact the Local Authority so a decision can be made.
